Hugo Ekitike is poised to inject a cheerful atmosphere into Liverpool's changing room, according to his former skipper.
The French striker is set to join the Premier League champions after an agreement was reached to secure the Eintracht Frankfurt ace's signature.
Both clubs have settled on a £69m initial payment plus £10m in potential add-ons, with Ekitike already finalising personal terms.
Ekitike completed 18 months in the Bundesliga during his maiden permanent move away from France.
Prior to his 2023 switch to Paris Saint-Germain, the forward had launched his professional journey with hometown team Reims.
In conversation with BBC Sport, a beaming Schoop fondly remembered Ekitike's time at the club whilst giving Liverpool supporters a glimpse of the vibrant personality heading their way.
"He was always in a good mood, and he liked to have some fun in the dressing room," he said, reports the Mirror.

"He was a happy boy, and even though he didn't play as much in the beginning, he trained well and had a really good attitude.
That's the sign of a big game player - to step up and find that bit extra," he explained.
